Austin Cody, a 19 year old Country Music
star from Clinton, rocked the revelers on Solomons through a
stormy 4th of July.
He performed at Bad Fish Bar and Grill Tuesday evening to
the acclaim of a buzzing crowd. His hip country style (no,
that’s not an oxymoron) had visitors jumping to tracks such
as his hit “Destination You,” the title track of his first
album. Cody recently made a name for himself in the Country
capital of Nashville and is currently working on his second
CD. |

On the 4th Cody included recognition of the
service men and women in attendance and a specially
dedicated song.
Tuesday evening the crowd enjoyed a waterfront luau around a
tented stage outside the Solomons bar, which quickly moved
inside as the storm clouds gathered overhead. Cody drowned
out the wind and rain outside, and while the Patuxent River
fireworks were cancelled, he created a bang of his own with
the July 4th celebration which went on into the night.
The music line-up was followed by a bikini contest. Take a
look at the event in pictures through the slideshow below.
If you missed Cody’s appearance on Solomons he’ll be gracing
local venues with several of his upcoming gigs, including
Jaycees Hall in Waldorf this Friday.

Solomon’s Island
will host Country Music’s newest sensation Austin Cody. The
Clinton, Md. native is quickly making a name for himself in
Nashville, which is the country music capital of the world.
Austin will be performing in Solomon’s July 4th at the
Badfish Dock Bar and Grill from 5:30 to 8 pm, with local
band The Silverado Band opening at 4 pm and house music
playing from 2-4 pm to start off the day. As an added
attraction, the Badfish Dock Bar and Grill will also host
their inaugural Badfish Bikini Pageant. This is an outdoor
event under the big tent.

Austin Cody was
born in Clinton and his roots are still in this area.
Austin is without a doubt the new breed of country music
entertainers. His shows draw rave reviews for his amazing
voice, his great band and how he entertains his fans and
thrills them with his stage presence and high energy
performances. His first CD “Destination You” drew rave
reviews and lots of attention from Nashville’s elite. His
CD was produced by Darren Smith, who co-produced Tim
McGraw’s Grammy CD “Live Like You Were Dying.” The country
music industry anxiously awaits his next CD which is
currently in song selection.
Austin Cody has
had the honor of sharing the stage with country music
superstars Gretchen Wilson and Trace Adkins. Some of his
music influences include Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks,
Yellowcard and 3 Doors Down. See a pattern here? Each of
these performers put on a high energy show made to please
their fans. Even though Austin is steadily making the climb
to country music stardom, his hometown roots have allowed
him to remain a down-to-earth person on and off the stage.
So I, your Bay Net music guy, on the spot urge you to come
out on July 4th, and bring the family too, because it is an
event for the whole family, and catch this rising country
music star. Badfish Dock Bar and Grill will also have a
Hawaiian luau with a country twist to help celebrate the
event as well as the inaugural Badfish Bikini Pageant. Then
stay to watch the fireworks after the show!
For more information about this event and the Bikini
Pageant, visit www.thebadfish.net or call 410-394-0110.
